Mission Statement
To provide safe enjoyable aquatics for the residents of Collingwood. This will be accomplished by providing locations where residents may participate in safe recreational swimming. It will also be accomplished by providing opportunities for residents to learn to swim, to learn to be safe in and around the water, and to learn how to save others.
Facility Information
The outdoor pool is located in Heritage Park at the corners of Third Street and Spruce Street (451 Third Street). It is operated by the Town of Collingwood Leisure Services Department.

A variety of programs and public swim times are available. These programs and times are advertised in the summer brochure. The cost of admission for these varies depending on age or type of program.
Collingwood Centennial Pool is seeking Volunteers 2009 Season
We are looking for volunteers to help with our aquatic programming running throughout July & August.

Collingwood Centennial Pool Volunteer Information
The Goals we hold for our Volunteers
- To provide opportunities for our volunteers to obtain personal growth, develop a sense of commitment, and learn about the Red Cross and Lifesaving Learn to Swim programs
What we offer:
- The chance to gain experience working with children
- The chance to work in an aquatic environment with children
- The opportunity to gain experience with teaching children from experienced instructors
- The chance to have fun teaching children how to swim
- The chance to learn in a controlled environment under the direct supervision of an experienced staff member
What you gain:
- Required volunteer hours for high school diploma
- The opportunity to gain experience in an aquatic environment that could lead to future employment
- The personal gratification that you have helped a child learn in an aquatic environment
What you need to volunteer:
- Be 13 years of age minimum
- Recommend completion of Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid
- Be enthusiastic, outgoing, and willing to learn
- Be willing to help out and have some fun
What are some things you do as a volunteer?
- Assist an instructor both in the water and on land with swimming lessons
- Provide an extra set of eyes to enhance safety in swimming classes
- Be depended upon to show up for prearranged time as well as be prepared to be in the water
- Assist instructors with the set up and clean up of the pool deck before and after swimming lessons
- Be an enthusiastic participant to the swimming lesson
- Be willing to adapt and help out with other tasks that may be required around the pool
- Be willing to learn
