As Mayor for the Town of Collingwood, it is with the utmost pleasure I extend to you a warm welcome. If this is your first visit to Collingwood or if you have visited us time and time again you will understand the warmth and hospitality that Collingwood is so well known for. Collingwood is rich in history and heritage architecture which we are proud of
 lending to our community’s vibrancy. Collingwood is located along the shoreline of Georgian Bay providing the young and old with access to the largest fresh water area in the world.  Our waterfront has an exciting landscape whether you are boating, or fishing for trout, you will not be disappointed.  We are blessed with over 72 km of trails for cross country skiing, snowshoeing or hiking something for all to enjoy.   Collingwood is a place where you will want to come for a visit and stay for a lifetime. Our arts and culture venue is first class varying from Jazz in the Park, Wordstock, Theatre Collingwood and the legendary Annual Collingwood Elvis Festival. I welcome you to discover our lifestyle which offers the benefits of our natural surroundings and the convenience of our vibrant downtown core. Distance to major cities
The Town of Collingwood is situated approximately halfway between the cities of Barrie and Owen Sound, and within driving distance of Toronto, Orillia and Midland. Neighbouring municipalities include the Town of the Blue Mountains, the Town of Wasaga Beach, and the Township of Clearview.

Collingwood is situated along the shoreline of Nottawasaga Bay (Georgian Bay) in the northwest corner of the County of Simcoe. Collingwood is a major commercial centre for northwest Simcoe County and northeast Grey County, as well as a major tourist destination for the Greater Toronto Area.
