Call for Participation in Culture Days

Let’s get involved in Culture Days!  It’s a collaborative pan-Canadian volunteer movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.  The first annual Culture Days event was held in 2010 in over 700 Canadian cities and towns, and was a great success. The 2011 Culture Days weekend will take place September 30 to October 2, 2011 in all 13 provinces and territories.

What can you or your organization/group do?

  1. On Saturday, Oct 1, plan tooffer a free, hands-on, interactive activity that invites the public to participate “behind the scenes,” to discover the world of artists, creators, historians, architects, curators, and designers at work in our community!
  2. Put your activity on the website – go to www.culturedays.cato learn more about Culture Days, get ideas and, enter your activity on the national directory

Tell us what you’re planning– We’d like to include your activity in a Collingwood Culture Days guide.  Have an idea but need a location?  Contact Parks, Recreation & Culture at 705.444-2500 ext. 3287 or tmazza@collingwood.ca and tell us what you’re planning.
