Did you know …
All vehicles and equipment are to be licenced to remove snow under Bylaw 82-118
1. A licencing fee of $25.00/vehicle/equipment – renewable each year shall be paid to the Municipality prior to any licence being issued, such licenses to be administered and obtained by By-law Enforcement
2. Documents required when submitting application: Proof of LIABILITY INSURANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $500,000.00and proof of ownership of vehicles.
Snow Removal By-law 2008-156
NO PERSON SHALL:
1. Place snow from private property upon any public sidewalk, road or street within the Municipality.
2. Redistribute or cause to be removed the snow from the boulevard directly in front of their property unless the said snow is redeposited in an approved site.
3. Redistrinbute or otherwise cause the accumulation of snow on the traveled portion of any road or street, including sidewalks within the municipality, which may obstruct traffic, view of traffic or obstruct movement of snow by the municipality.
Failure to comply with either By-law may result in court proceedings,minimum fine of $250.00 to maximum penalty of $5,000 under the provisions of the Provincial Offences Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.p. 33.
Parking Control By-law 03-62
NO PERSON SHALL:
1. Park on roadway from 1:00am to 7:00am
2. park partially, on or over any sidewalk
Vehicles found parked on roadway or on a sidewalk will be issued a parking infraction and may be towed at owner’s expense.
