Each year in Ontario there are many emergencies that require vast resources to mitigate.

Many believe that when an emergency strikes, emergency services will be available to respond immediately. The reality is that depending on the magnitude of the event, most resources will be dealing with the main emergency and it may be some time before we can get to you. 

In order for emergency crews to focus on dealing with the main emergency, we ask that you prepare to look after yourself and your family for at least 72 hours. An emergency preparedness kit can be easily assembled and stored in your house so you are ready when an emergency hits.
