WHEREAS pursuant to Section 214.1(1) of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter H.8, as amended, the council of a municipality may by by-law designate a part of a highways under its jurisdiction as a community safety zone, if in the opinion of Council, public safety is of special concern on that part of the highway;

 

AND WHEREAS Council of the Town of Collingwood passed By-law No. 00-62, designating certain highways throughout the municipality as Community Safety Zones;

 

AND WHEREAS Council deems it necessary to amend By-law No. 00-62;

 

NOW THEREFORE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF COLLINGWOOD ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

 

1.   THAT Schedule A of By-law No. 00-62 be amended to add the following portions of a highway as a designated Community Safety Zone:

Designated Highway Name     Between                              Time Period in Effect

 

2.   THAT number 13 of Schedule A of By-law No. 00-62 be deleted and replaced with the following as a designated Community Safety Zone:

3.   THAT this By-law shall come into full force and effect on the date of final passage hereof at which time all By-laws and/or resolutions that are inconsistent with the provisions of this By-law and the same are hereby repealed or rescinded insofar as it is necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law.
