Collingwood, ON– Calling all musicians, singers, dancers, jugglers, mimes, magicians, comedians and entertainers! The Town of Collingwood Busker Audition Committee is holding OPEN AUDITIONS for entertainers to obtain a licence to “busk a move” at 5 locations in the downtown.
The auditions are open, so anyone interested can just show up and bring their talent. Entertainers are asked to be prepared to perform a maximum of 5 minutes of material. Solos and groups (max of 5) are welcome. Youth are also encouraged to attend the audition and those under 16 are asked to bring an adult.
The Busker Audition Committee includes Frank McNulty, John Gabriele and Jay Robinson. “The committee is hoping to see a variety of family friendly entertainers and we’re looking not just for talent but for potential, uniqueness, organization of material and definitely showmanship”, says Chair Frank McNulty.
The auditions will be held at the Studio located at the rear entrance of 116 Hurontario Street, Collingwood, between Second and Third Streets (across the laneway from Helena Guergis’ office).
DATES AND TIMES OF AUDITIONS:
Tuesday, August 31

Wednesday, September 1
