BEING A BY-LAW AMEND THE PERMITTED MUNICIPAL TRAIL LOCATIONS FOR MOTORIZED SNOW VEHICLES WITHIN THE TOWN OF COLLINGWOOD

WHEREAS it is deemed expedient in the interest of public safety to regulate and govern the use of motorized snow vehicles in the Town of Collingwood;
AND WHEREAS Subsection 7(2) of the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M.44 as amended, provides that a municipality may pass by-laws regulating, governing or prohibiting the operation of motorized snow vehicles within the municipality including any highways therein or any part or parts thereof.
AND WHEREAS By-law No. 2008-164, being a by-law to regulate and govern the use of motorized snow vehicles within the Town of Collingwood was passed and enacted by Council of the Town of Collingwood on December 8, 2008;
AND WHEREAS the Trail’s Advisory Committee deem it expedient to amend the permitted municipal trail locations for motorized snow vehicles;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF COLLINGWOOD ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Schedule “B” entitled Permitted Municipal Trail Locations of By-law No. 2008-164 be deleted and replaced with the following:

2. THAT this By-law shall come into full force and effect on the date of final passage hereof at which time all By-laws and/or resolutions that are inconsistent with the provisions of this By-law and the same are hereby repealed or rescinded insofar as it is necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law.
