Summary:
Being a by-law to authorize the execution of the Service Manager Municipal Housing Contribution and Facility Agreement between the Corporation Of The County Of Simcoe and the Corporation Of The Town Of Collingwood
WHEREAS the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001 c. 25, as amended, authorizes Municipalities to enter into agreements;

AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Collingwood has agreed to enter into a funding contribution agreement to receive funding for an affordable housing project;
AND WHEREAS the terms of the original agreement have be modified and approved by the County of Simcoe and the Provincial and Federal Governments to address a public private partnership for the supply of the affordable housing units;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF COLLINGWOOD HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
- THAT the Mayor and Clerk be hereby authorized to execute the Service Manager Municipal Housing Contribution and Facility Agreement between the Corporation of the County of Simcoe and the Corporation of the Town of Collingwood;
- THAT the Mayor and Clerk be hereby authorized to execute the Promissory Note – Agreement required to secure the affordable housing funding between the Corporation of the Town of Collingwood and the Corporation of the County of Simcoe;
- THAT the Mayor and Clerk be hereby authorized to execute the Promissory Note – Agreement required to secure the affordable housing funding between the Corporation of the Town of Collingwood and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as represented by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing;
- THATthis By-law shall come into full force and effect on the date of final passage hereof.
ENACTED AND PASSED this 28th, day of April, 2008.
