Collingwood 2012 Blues Series
The Collingwood 2012 Blues Series takes place at the Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts Centre, 163 Hurontario Street, Collingwood, the third Thursday of the month, from 7pm to 9pm.
Tickets are $15 per concert in advance or $20 at the Door. 2012 Jazz & Blues Society members $13.

January 19 - Chuck Jackson: The vocalist and harp player with the Downchild Blues Band is a dynamic performer who connects with audiences whenever and wherever he appears around the world. Joined by Downchild keyboardist Michael Fonfara, Chuck returns to the Blues Series to bring the house down again in 2012.
February 16 - Danny Brooks: Danny has been in the music business since the early 1970s, more than paying his dues while playing in blues and R&B bands across Canada and the US. Danny is a blues and gospel singer and guitarist of incredible power and has been influenced by the giants from Muddy Waters to the Blind Boys of Alabama. He is now based in Austin, Texas.
March 15 - Liberty Silver & Eddie Bullen: Liberty Silver is one of the great voices of Canadian Music, recently touring with Stevie Wonder. Keyboardist, composer, producer Eddie Bullen has become a Collingwood favourite and is the perfect accompanist for Liberty.
April 19, - Jay Douglas: Jay is one of the most versatile vocalists in Canada. Blues, R&B, Reggae, Jazz, Gospel and even country all delivered in his deeply soulful, unique and accessible style. Jay has entertained all around the world and has fans everywhere. Once you see and hear Jay you’ll be a fan forever.
May 16 - Shawne Jackson & David McMorrow: Shawne started singing in a church choir at an early age and was in several notable vocal groups such as “The Tiaras” and bands inlcuding “Shawne & Jay Jackson & the Majestics” before she had major international pop success with her big hit ”Just as Bad as You” which sold millions of copies world - wide. Shawne has been working as an actor in movies and TV but has returned to her musical roots in recent years with her tribute to Billie Holiday “Billie’s Last Rehersal".
