In March 2012, Town Council unanimously supported, in principle, the concept for the development of the Central Park Community Recreation Centre. This project will see a partnership between the Town of Collingwood and the Simcoe Muskoka YMCA. Given the significant cost associated with this project, Council has identified the development of a funding strategy as a key priority. To assist with this process the Town will establish a Phase II Steering Committee. Individuals with proficient skills and experience in the following areas are invited to apply:
- Economic Development
- Government Relations (provincial and federal)
- Public, Private Partnerships
- Financial Analysis
- Fund Development
- Architectural Design and/or construction of Public Buildings
- Communication
Volunteer commitment of 3 - 5 hours a week from May 2012 until October 2012.
