A Message From the Mayor

A Message From the Mayor

Portrait of Mayor Cooper
Mayor Sandra Cooper

As Mayor, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our wonderful community.

Collingwood has a great warmth and sense of hospitality that is evident to first-time tourists, as well as repeat visitors.

Our community is rich in history and culture, and we are extremely proud of our downtown Heritage Conservation District. We hope you have a chance to explore the many historic buildings that give our community such vibrancy.

We are located on the shores of Georgian Bay, and our waterfront provides endless opportunities for boating, fishing, recreation activities and so much more! We’re also home to more than 72 km of trails for hiking, biking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

The Collingwood Public Library and Collingwood Museum boast year-round programming complementing community programs and events in theatre, music, dance and visual arts. We also host the legendary Collingwood Elvis Festival every July. For more information on arts and culture in Collingwood, visit our Parks, Recreation and Culture department.

There is truly something for everyone!

On behalf of Council and staff, I welcome you to discover our community!
