About Leisure Services Advisory Committee
The mandate of the Leisure Services Advisory Committee is to advise and assist Council on matters relating to the provision of leisure activities, programs and opportunities in the area of recreation and culture for the well being of the inhabitants of this municipality, both collectively and individually, currently and in the future.

The committee meets the third Wednesday of each month from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Town Hall.
Current Projects/Initiatives:
- Heritage Park Revitalization – Phase 1 underway
- 2009 Annual Municipal Assistance Program (A.M.F.A.P.) application process, interviews and recommendations completed during December 2008 for 2009 Budget considerations. 2010 A.M.F.A.P. process underway
- Final plans prepared & supported for Shipyards Linear Waterfront Promenade
